Course learning outcomes
On successful completion of the full course (all three modules) you will have gained skills and knowledge to meet the following learning objectives:
- Assess the suitability of individuals for oral contraception based on medical and lifestyle factors
- Identify and manage cautions and contraindications to oral contraception
- Apply UKMEC to support contraception choices
- Assess factors that could affect contraceptive effectiveness (including emergency contraception)
- Describe significant drug interactions
- Discuss and offer alternative methods of contraception
- For combined oral contraception (COC), select appropriate formulation and regimen, including pill type and duration of supply
- Discuss selected oral contraception with patient to ensure understanding
- Offer appropriate follow up
- Describe an online shared decision-making contraception consultation tool.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
If you can no longer attend this course, please note that all cancellations must be received in writing to the CoSRH Events Team at [email protected]. This written cancellation request must be sent a minimum of 2 weeks before the course start date in order for a refund to be issued. All cancellation requests sent after this date will not be entitled to a refund.
In the unlikely event that a course or assessment must be cancelled for any reason, The CoSRH shall notify registered delegates of the cancellation as soon as possible. The CoSRH takes no responsibility for non-refundable travel/accommodation in the case of a changed programme or cancelled event.
